We’re proud of our Tier 1 supplier legacy for manufacturing propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components, and assemblies around the globe. This exciting opportunity will be out of our New Boston, MI Headquarters.

Leadership Responsibilities

· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.

· Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching to the plant human resource team and the plant leadership team.

· With input from the Plant Manager, responsible for the development, performance feedback, direction and leadership of Human Resource Managers in the plant including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.

· Provides leadership in all HR programs and processes including the development, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of HR programs, processes and services including policy development and compliance.

· Act as the key mentor to the HR Managers for all labor relations issues.

· Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the plants for the negotiation and implementation of the collective bargaining agreement.

· Responsible for the leadership and direction to the HR Managers for direct relationship initiatives within the organization.

· Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the HR Managers for legal issues relating to employment matters such as EEOC claims, ULP claims, Civil Rights claims, etc.

Managerial Responsibilities

· Provide key input into the development of the Department’s strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support plant business plan goals.

· Identifies and proactively raises organizational issues and trends; tracks pertinent HR metrics, diagnoses processes, structures and approach; recommends alternatives for improved effectiveness.

· Manages the succession planning process and staffing of the HR department and provides leadership and direction to the HR Managers for all exempt and non-exempt positions and ensures depth of talent within the organization.
