Job description
Description:
Will be using mechanical diagrams and schematics to perform disassembly, repair, then reassemble machines used in the paper manufacturing process. Must have own set of tools. Be able to read mechanical diagrams and schematics. Great attention to detail. Use of micrometers and calipers

Display a good attitude conducive to a shop environment Must work well with others as a team Perform job functions in a manner that promotes Quality per Voith Standards Perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner Keep a clean work area and maintain equipment during shift Must be dependable in regard to attendance Must be willing to work overtime when required Must be willing to learn and perform other tasks of operations as required Shift work may be required Reviews work orders and/or blueprints, sketches, and diagrams, to determine work required Disassemble and reassemble rolls and other components Inspect and measure components with precision tools and instruments to ensure they are within specifications Help diagnose problems with the customer’s rolls Hook up and test hydraulic rolls Clean parts with solvents, steam cleaner, hot tank, sand blaster and/or caustic soda Complete report forms accurately and timely Prime or paints parts by hand or with spray gun Operate forklift, overhead and jib cranes to move parts, components, and rolls Millwright/Mechanic I: In training with basic understanding of the required tasks Millwright/Mechanic II: Can perform all required task with minimal guidance Millwright/Mechanic III: Can perform all tasks efficiently without guidance, help trouble shoot problems, brings ideas to increase efficiency and train new employees
