Job description
The Enterprise Financial Reporting group is a fast-paced, dynamic team that manages the external reporting requirements of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) and its Subsidiaries. The group provides team members with various opportunities to collaborate across the organization, develop insight into the enterprise and participate in a world class controllership organization. In responding to executives, analysts or press inquiries concerning the Company, the group has significant interaction with several key corporate departments, including Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and the office of the CFO.

What You Will Do:
Drive the preparation of the TWDC Cash Flow Statement for the 10-Q/10-K including:
Actively engage in the identification of potential cash flow adjustments and resolution of issues/problems related to Enterprise Cash Flow with business partners
Assist in preparation of the quarterly Cash Flow Deck and related analysis for submission to senior management (the Cash Flow Deck is an internal report of segment cash flow results with detailed analysis)
Actively participate in process improvement and reporting enhancement initiatives for the TWDC Cash Flow including:
Identification and presentation of enhancement to key stakeholders
Implementation of identified enhancements
Forecasting of Disney’s Corporate cash flows including:
Engage in collaborative planning discussions with Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and segment business partners
Present forecast-to-actual results to key business partners
Preparation of internal reporting, senior management reports, and specialized reporting on an ad-hoc basis
Coordination with multiple teams across Disney (e.g., Experiences, Entertainment, and Sports segment teams, executives in Controllership, and Investor Relations)
Required Qualifications & Skills:
2-5 years in accounting, auditing, or finance positions of increasing responsibility (including public accounting)
Strong knowledge of general accounting and close process
Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
A passion for accuracy and a desire to understand the “why”
Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
Must be able to interact with all levels of management
Flexible, “special-projects” orientation coupled with solid multi-tasking abilities
Demonstrated track record of process improvements and desire to implement best practices
Ability to meet tight/competing reporting deadlines
Ability to navigate through ambiguity
Flexibility in hours as required for deliverable deadlines
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel proficiency using pivot tables, Match Index. H-&V-lookups, etc., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with a large multi-national company or Big 4 accounting firm
Experience with SEC filings, entertainment industry experience, SAP and consolidations systems experience, GAAP Statement of Cash Flow experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

The hiring range for this position in California is $101,800 to $124,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
