Job description
ENT Specialists of Alaska is the largest and most prominent ENT practice in Alaska, serving communities across the state, including Anchorage, Wasilla, Kenai, and Kodiak, for over three decades.
They are seeking to add a dedicated Audiologist to their growing team due to increased demand for their services, fueled by their reputation as the trusted ENT practice across the state and their unwavering commitment to a patient-focused team and approach.
The ideal candidate is a patient-centric Audiologist who enjoys working closely with physicians and audiologists, ensuring patients hearing healthcare needs are met through the best medical, surgical, and technological options.
Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, speech in noise tests, MCL and UCL tests, speech reception threshold, and word recognition tests.
- Administering Audiological diagnostic evaluations for adults and pediatrics, cochlear implant
- Providing Cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, mappings, and rehabilitation for adults and children, including aided and unaided sound-field testing.
- Interpreting and reporting test results to determine hearing loss, type, and degree
- Counseling and discussing appropriate treatment plans and recommendations with the patient.
- Fitting and dispensing assistive devices according to the patients needs or the nature of the impairment.
- Maintaining patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Audiology
- Knowledge and experience with hearing aids, programming, fitting, verification, and troubleshooting devices
- Experience with Cochlear is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
