Job description
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Coral Gables, FL
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 + Bonus
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
- Create journal entries for the general ledger, tracks fixed assets, reconciles the bank account each month, and reconciles the monthly balance sheet.
- Create and submits financial reports on a monthly basis.
- Generate, evaluate, and prepare periodic financial statements that are sent to management on schedule.
- Assist with accounts payable tasks, such as completing weekly check runs, entering data into the accounts payable system, and confirming invoices, expense reports, check requests, and purchase requisitions.
- Aid with accounts receivable tasks, such as applying payments to the right accounts, sending out monthly invoices, balancing client accounts, and responding to requests from clients.
- Assist with budget preparation.
- Reconcile petty cash fund.
- Compile and evaluate journals every month.
- Perform daily banking procedures.
- Keep track of the depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
- Assist with annual external audits.
- Help with the monthly tax return preparation.
- Oversee the coordination of accounting control methods and system installation.
- Evaluate and assess the accounting department of the company; make recommendations for enhancements.
- Assists with related special projects as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor's or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus
- 2+ years of experience accounting experience
