Job description
We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Business Consultant Intern to join our diverse organization for the summer of 2024. As a Business Consultant Intern, you will be an integral part of the Internal Business Consulting department, working on projects spanning operational and support functions. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multifaceted company that operates in passenger transportation, vehicle sales and service, collision repair, and parts distribution, among other fields. Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Internal Business Consulting team to assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects across different departments.
- Contribute to project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and progress reports.
- Conduct analysis and research to identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions for improvement.
- Work with operational teams to implement process enhancements and streamline workflows.
- Engage with various departments to understand their unique challenges and goals.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments to ensure project success.
- Utilize data to support decision-making processes and provide insights into key business metrics.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing business processes and recommend strategies for enhanced efficiency.
- Work with teams to implement process improvements and measure their impact.
- Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance consulting and business analysis skills.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
Position Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or coursework in business consulting, project management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with the transportation industry or dealership operations.
