Manufacturing Engineer – Torrance, CA - $110K – 140K Base Salary + EXCELLENT Benefits– HYBRID - Direct Hire!
MUST HAVE: -5+ years as mechanical/manufacturing engineer in industrial/manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (Required)
- Proficiency in mechanical design and documentation.
- Experience with precision component and weldment design using GD & T

Must have the ability to obtain or have a U.S. Government security clearance. Job Description: The manufacturing engineering team works in a dynamic environment focusing on manufacturing low volume, engineered-to-order standard and specialty products comprising of motors, gearboxes, position feedback, bearings, castings, weldments, forgings, sheet metal, composite structures, milled and turned parts utilized in electro-mechanical applications. The candidate should have a high level of experience directly related to their job. The candidate should be an experienced engineer and be self-directed in completing day-to-day tasks.
- Collaborate on design for manufacturability.
- Improve product quality, cost, and lead time.
- Lead product launch, sustainment, and obsolescence activities.
- Provide sustaining engineering for manufacturing and customer support.
- Design product configuration for standard products and systems.
- Improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify root causes and implement effective solutions for production issues.
- Develop procedures, guidelines, and work instructions.
- Support vendor qualification, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
Required Skills: - Build, test, factory integration, and installation of large machinery.
- Hands-on experience with machining, welding, assembly, and inspection.
- Automated test and build fixture development.
- Design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.
- Cost estimation for fabrication, build, test, ship, and install.
- Cost reduction analysis.
- Produce work instruction and test procedures.
- Develop automated test scripts and fixture.
- Component inspection and machine alignment.
- Root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and documentation.
- Precision component and weldment design using GD & T.
- Technical communication and presentation.
- Team leadership.
- This position requires approximately 10-20% domestic and international travel.
- Must have the ability to obtain or have a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Experience Level: 5+ years as mechanical/manufacturing engineer in industrial/manufacturing environment
- Education Level: Bachelor’s in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (Required)
- Master’s in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (Desired)
- Location: Greater Los Angeles (Torrance, California)
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
