SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director, Library, the incumbent provides reference, instruction, and circulation services to students, faculty, and staff. The incumbent will assist patrons with library and information needs and oversee interlibrary loan services. The incumbent may assist with cataloging and materials preparation, library website edits, special projects and programming, and other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
Master's Degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution, or currently working on an MLS with the intention of completion.
PREFERRED:
Academic library experience. Prior information literacy instruction experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will:
- Impart student-forward services in a welcoming and inclusive environment to enhance student experience and success to a diverse college population.
- Provide assistance to Temple College students, faculty and staff with library information resources and related research methods, in addition to circulation desk functions.
- Develop, schedule, and conduct library information literacy instruction sessions, including creation of asynchronous online lessons.
- Collaborate with faculty to achieve information literacy learning outcomes through provision of information literacy instruction, subject research LibGuides, and coordinated acquisition of library resources.
- Evaluate library holdings; make recommendations for acquisition and withdrawal of materials to improve accessibility to inclusive materials.
- Oversee interlibrary loan services; process loan requests from patrons and participating institutions.
- Track and compile electronic resource usage statistics for required reports.
- Assist with library email account; answer reference questions; process material and service requests.
- Participate in the development and achievement of annual library goals and objectives.
- Assist in the processing of materials, including copy cataloging.
- Aid the development of student focused library policies to ensure a welcoming and safe environment, keep current with modifications to library and college policies and procedures; attend training as necessary to adjust to changes.
- Participate in college committees and councils; attend meetings and commencement ceremonies as required.
- Promote library resources and services to the college community.
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned by the Director, Library.
