Description:

Responsible to be working with the government customer in their technical data management team. They will work with customer to interpret the Cad Data in support of re-draw efforts, ECP's, and TDP deliveries. Responsible for following the Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Record Releases (ERR) process in ePDM Windchill. Validation process standards and conduct CAD technical data validation reviews on vehicles, systems, subsystems, components, and spare parts supported by the GVSC CAD Validation Team. Validate, upload, and release CAD technical data packages within the product data management system.

100% desk job this is not a design role or hands on role there will be existing designs and drawings completed by BAE or GD that need to be validated so there is no issue once the production phase were to begin. Having the background on product life cycle from Design to launch would provide the right expertise to provide and confirm Drawings that they can be developed

70% of the work will be reviewing 3D drawings in NX or Catia and converting to 2D drawings then uploading to TDM

Customer has 2 groups 1 focused more on 2D drawings and validating the work to be uploaded to TDM. (Candidate just got offered can match to ask me for name)

Other group is focused on more reverse engineering of the work within 3D data and making engineering changes in design or suggesting to then convert data to 2D and sending to group above. (have candidate that just got offered that we can match to)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain a US secret level security clearance

UGNX: Drawings that need to be reviewed will be sent in UGNX and converted from 3D to 2D.

Cad Data: Information taken from 3D to 2D transferring needs to be uploaded to the TDM (Technical Data Management) system.

Metals: having Metals or structures background would be most transferable skill to what the data would have to relate.

• GD&T is not a must but customer would want someone that is willing to learn new standards and be guided through that.
