We're hiring a Treasury Management Director!
This position may be located at the Fargo, ND or Coon Rapids, MN Border Bank.
As a Treasury Management Director, you will work closely with bankers and market leaders to attract new and enhance existing deposit customers. The Treasury Management Director will also partner with the operations, compliance, and finance areas of the bank to develop market strategy.
Treasury Management Director Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of similar or related experience in financial services, bank operations, digital or electronic banking or cash management.
- Ability to effectively supervise and train others.
Treasury Management Director Accountabilities:
- Develop Border Bank's treasury function.
- Partner with Business Bankers to sell Treasury Management services to prospects and develop a cross-selling plan for current customers within the bank's portfolio.
- Set annual sales goals for new deposits and treasury fee income, research and seek out new customer or business line opportunities to meet these goals.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from prospecting, statement analysis, sales call preparation and presentation and onboarding, account validation and customer training.
- Ensure policies, written procedures and standards are in place for all Treasury Management functions and that the department follows all bank regulations as well as broader Border Bank policy and procedures.
- Empower, coach, and motivate team to follow established practice standards, while also evaluating scenarios and using good judgement to deviate when appropriate.
- Serve as a liaison between Electronic Banking and other Departments within the Bank. Build partnerships across all areas of the bank that allow for open communication and resolution of issues or problems that arise.
- Ensure timely and accurate report and data analytics are developed and scheduled, supporting requests of areas of the bank.
- Together with bank management will direct overall strategy for treasury management product development including deposit accounts, online banking, payments, fraud, and risk management, sweep and investment products.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and educate management and Bankers about changes in the industry.
- Review and approve current and new client risk exposure levels for ACH and remote deposit and wire limits.
- Manage treasury support function for day-to-day servicing issues related to business online, payments, access issues and account maintenance.
- Review existing processes to identify and streamline functions, improving efficiency and enhancing the accuracy & quality of work.
- Train employees on treasury products and services to further their overall knowledge of treasury and potential customer needs.
- Possess deep understanding of ACH and electronic payments rules.
- Understands BSA/AML and new customer onboarding screening requirements.
- Act as key contact for treasury and payments questions with external regulatory reviews.
