INVISTA's Victoria, TX site is currently looking for an Instrument & Electrical Engineer with an interest in the application of the latest engineering technology and leading industry trends. This position will be in Victoria, with substantial engagement with IT/OT, Operations Excellence and Projects.
Our Team The Electrical Engineering team's responsibilities will include the support and ownership of site-wide mechanical integrity efforts and reliability through the application of technology. This role will influence and drive the equipment health and overall Site/Business competitiveness.
What You Will Do - Design and implement fundamental Electrical engineering projects to address plant needs.
- Lead root cause failure analysis related to equipment and be part of the team that implements the latest cutting-edge corrective actions.
- Support maintenance and operations in the repair and selection of plant equipment by researching, specifying, and designing.
- Provide technical recommendations through the collection, analysis, and summary of data and trends.
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to develop new reliability tools while building new capabilities in the organization.
- Identify and rapidly deploy new technologies to accomplish our reliability goals.
- Research and create solutions that meet the specific needs of each facility.
- Solve technical problems and steer economic decisions while working with a diverse workforce.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues while using transformative and innovative approaches to drive reliability initiatives and engineering solutions.
- Support site transformation efforts to move from time-based strategies to predictive analytics.
- Develop tools that convert data to information allowing transparency for better decision making.
- Support Sustainability Improvements Efforts.
- Support initiatives at other INVISTA sites in Texas through a Community of Practice.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Bachelor's degree or projected to graduate by August '24 in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Control Systems Engineering
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
What will Put You Ahead - 3+ years' experience in electrical engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance and engineering standards (NEC, NFPA, API, OSHA, ISA, EPA, and other RAGAGEPs)
- Experience with engineering software or data analytics
- Experience applying statistical tools and performing reliability modeling
- Experience working with plant networks (Server/Clients) and process control hardware
