Job description
The After School Care Worker is responsible for supervising, nurturing, and caring for children during after school hours. and reports to the Director of After School Care.
Skills: Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Organizational management skills. Ability to communicate with students, teachers, parents and members of the community. Ability to exercise good judgment and work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
1. Nurture and care for children while under the care of the after-school program.
2. Perform good handwashing techniques for disease and infection control.
3. Organize activities and implement curricula that stimulates children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth.
4. Provide for child's basic needs.
5. Report behavior to parents each day.
6. Supervise children while they are playing outside on the playground.
7. Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and community.
8. Attend work regularly and is punctual.
