Job description
The Collegium Sanctorum Angelorum is looking for a candidate to fill a possible opening on our humanities faculty. Humanities curriculum can be found here:
Qualified candidates will have:
- Ph.D. in history, classics, or related field (ABD considered if defense date is set prior to start of position).
- Interest in teaching the humanities as history rather than as literature. (This is not a great books program.)
- The ability to help students see the importance of understanding history as key to understanding the faith.
- At least 1 year (2 semesters) teaching experience at the collegiate level.
- The ability to teach occasionally in another field.
- Love of Catholic tradition.
- Willingness to participate in the spiritual life of The Collegium, including Lauds and Vespers.
All faculty at the Collegium must be practicing traditional Catholics and sign the Oath Against Modernism. All faculty positions come with some administrative work. The current position currently has dean of men duties attached.
