Job description

Here at Happier at Home, we provide companion-level care that helps seniors stay more independent in the comfort of their own homes. 

We are looking for mature, responsible, independent-thinking individuals to join our team as caregivers. We offer the opportunity to have a flexible schedule and work the number of hours you would like. 

Happier At Home provides service in the following settings: private homes, apartments, independent and assisted living communities, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehab centers. 

Caregivers help with a variety of daily activities such as: 

• Meal Planning & Preparation;
• Transportation & Appointments;
• Shopping & Errands;
• Light Housekeeping, Laundry & Stripping Beds;
• Bathing and Dressing Set-Up & Monitoring;
• Companionship & Mental Stimulation;
• Specialized Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care;
• Exercise Encouragement & Monitoring;
• Overnight Services;
• Respite Care;
• Information & Referral Services.

Requirements:

• Job experience and CPR training may be necessary;
• A professional and friendly attitude;
• A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts.

A driver's license and reliable transportation are required for the position.  

Applicant will be required to pass a:  

• Drug screen test;
• Criminal background check;
• Motor vehicular record check.

Job Type:

• Part-time 

Pay:

• $17 - $18.50 per hour

• Day shift;
• Night shift;
• Holidays;
• Monday to Friday;
• Weekends as needed;
• On call.

Experience: 

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred).

License/Certification: 

• Driver's License (Preferred);
• CHHA (Preferred but not required).

Shift availability: 

• Day Shift (Preferred);
• Night Shift (Preferred).
