About the Role & Team

We are Disney's Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative agency for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. Every day, we create compelling, impactful creative content for one of the most beloved brands on the planet. The Sr. Copywriter (Social Media & Digital Content) is a true digital native, who lives and breathes social media and will collaborate closely with the Group Creative Director and Art Director to ideate and script compelling narratives/content ensuring they resonate with our diverse audiences for all current and emerging digital and social channels. In this fast-paced role, the Copywriter is passionate about successfully delivering engaging, relevant content at the speed of social.

You will report to the Production Director.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the Art Director and the broader creative team to ideate and script compelling narratives, ensuring they resonate with our diverse audience and the ethos of Disney.
• Develop engaging content for all digital and social channels, emphasizing storytelling that aligns with the brand's legacy and our modern creative strategy.
• Dive into creative briefs, assimilate feedback, and script content that mirrors the partner’s vision while aligning with the overarching narrative approach championed by our Creative leadership.
• Uphold the quality of your copy and concepts while ensuring timelines are met and projects stay on course.
• Guide photographers, designers, directors, editors, and other vendors, ensuring alignment of vision and quality in the creative output.
• Construct and deliver cohesive presentations, showcasing your ideas with clarity and passion to internal teams and partners.
• Stay abreast of both Disney and the ever-evolving nuances of the digital and social media and with evolving platform features, ensuring content is always platform-optimized.
• Ensure that the narrative elements of the creative are in harmony with the visual.
• Refine and iterate copy based on feedback from senior creatives and partner inputs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years in within a digital agency, emphasizing hands-on social media content creation or relevant experience.
• Command over Adobe and MS Office Creative tools, ensuring your copy aligns with design directions.
• Outstanding ability to conceptualize and write sticky content tailored for social media.
• Resilience under pressure, with a focus on multitasking and timely deliverables.
• Acute attention to detail, ensuring every word contributes to the narrative.
• Genuine curiosity about the Walt Disney Company's rich history – from films and animation to television and theme parks.
• Materials Required for Consideration: An exemplary portfolio showcasing your narrative prowess and a CV is mandatory. (please submit with application and provide any necessary passwords)

Education

• Ad school or a liberal arts (4-year) degree is preferred.
• A minimum of an associate's (2-year) degree in advertising, journalism, or creative writing.

Additional Information

This position is located in Glendale, CA.

The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $112,100.00 to $150,200.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
