What You Will Do
We are looking for a Structural Engineering intern who will work within the department responsible for structural engineering of an individual facility/attraction, area development element, land, or theme park project. This will include design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for structural steel, concrete, masonry, timber buildings, structures, and other miscellaneous items. As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be responsible for entry level structural engineering design and calculation tasks for a single project under senior staff supervision
- Track budget hours for assigned tasks and advise supervisor of potential variances
- Make decisions within established guidelines and provide engineering design and analysis in support of the production of construction contract documents
Required Qualifications & Skills
- General knowledge of the structural engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of steel, concrete, and wood structures as well as geotechnical engineering
- Proficient in the use of Revit, SolidWorks, Rhino or other structural software
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
- Active membership in a professional engineering organization
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization

- This internship is located in Glendale, CA
- The approximate dates of this internship are May/June through August/September 2024
- Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
