Position Overview

The Associate Financial Merchandising Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the review and reconciliation of all the regular daily and weekly reporting for gross profit, inventory and/or storage P&Ls. The candidate will be an active participant in the strategic business partnership between accounting and procurement leadership to review weekly P&Ls to identify changes, trends, cost savings opportunities and projection analysis. The candidate will assist in creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to assist in problem solving and trend analysis. The candidate will provide additional support during all aspects of the financial planning and reporting cycles including budgeting & forecasting as well as compilation of ad-hoc analysis.

• Full Time, Hybrid Role - post training

You will contribute by:

• Analyzing and reconciling weekly and period ending P&Ls and research variances.
• Participating in the development of Outside Storage, Inventory, and Gross Profit budgets and forecasts throughout the year.
• Partnering with accounting to assure accuracy during weekly, monthly and period end P&L process.
• Supporting the partnership with accounting and procurement senior leadership to ensure that all parties understand impacts to the company's P&Ls.
• Developing analysis and communicating clearly any variances to budget/forecast to procurement senior leadership.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of the customer/department/and vendor profitability models.
• Completing other tasks as assigned and assisting in the management of ad hoc projects & requests pertaining to financial, procurement and merchandising.

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & Hyperion
• An understanding of financial terminology and P&L statements
• Strong communication skills, strong analytical skills & objective approach to problem solving
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Years Of Experience

• 0-2: years of related experience in reporting and analysis focused roles
