Job description
Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets. We have a current opening for a Field Technician. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to acquire field data to be used for the design of power distribution construction plans.
- Collecting field data utilizing GPS Units and other collection tools.
- Responsible for taking field notes and completing data collection for power utility projects
- Documentation of field data and taking measurements of existing utilities attached to power or communication company poles
- Complete and File permit applications
- Utilize software programs to analyze and compile collected field data
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to multi-task
- Ability to handle more than one project at a time and to meet deadlines
- 0-1 years related experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Pole loading software (O-Calc, Spida) a plus.
- Knowledge in the Utility Industry. Specifically: Telecommunications, CATV, Gas, or Power Distribution a plus.
