Description/Notes:

Administer and operate the district’s central administrative computer networks. Develop, maintain, and monitor all district local area networks (LAN), wireless local area networks (WLAN), and wide area networks (WAN). Responsible for installation, testing, and oversight of all network hardware, personal computers, software, and related equipment.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems, or equivalent experience in network administration
Google Certified Administrator
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification (MCSE)
Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals
Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM
Working knowledge of Enterprise Backup Systems
Working knowledge of Solar Winds
Working knowledge of iDentity Automation
Working knowledge of VMware server infrastructure and Storage Area Networks (SANS)
Working knowledge of LAN, LWAN, and WAN network design and installation
Working knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers, and other equipment
Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols
Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
5 years of experience performing network management
Previous experience overseeing disaster recovery solutions, business continuity planning and validation testing.
Previous experience using Google Apps Administration Console for security configuration and policy management.
Previous experience using Microsoft SCCM for configuration and policy management.

Salary Range:

$75,122 - $113,000

Benefits:

As a full-time employee of HPISD, the employee is eligible for:
The District's contribution towards the TRS health insurance coverage of $437 per month beginning September 2023.
The District's contribution of $600 annually is provided for employee-only dental insurance.
HPISD pays the premium for a $50,000 life insurance through Dearborn National Life Insurance for those under 70. For those over 70, HPISD pays the premium for $25,000 life insurance policy.
