Job Summary
The production associate is responsible for operating machines and processes related to the department to which he/she is assigned.
Description of basic functions and responsibilities - Must be able to wear personal protective equipment throughout the work day:
- Hi Visibility Vest
- Safety Glasses
- Steel Toe Boots
- Gloves
- Hearing Protection
- Emphasis on following all safety guidelines
- Must complete daily machine checklists as a part of our Preventive Maintenance program
- Ability to operate machinery and drive forklifts
- Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
- Must follow quality system guidelines
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures exactly as described
- Ensure the workplace is free from potential safety hazards; keeping the work area neat and clean
Physical Demands - Must be able to work in varying work environments
- High temperatures
- Cold temperatures
- Moderate noise levels
- Dusty conditions
- Standing 90% of the time
- Frequent pulling/pushing
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs continuously
- Moderate bending and stooping
