Job description

We are currently seeking a Database Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for an immediate opening in Austin, TX. This position, although remote initially due to Covid-19, requires a hands-on expert in Oracle Database Administration with a strong background in Golden Gate technology. The ideal candidate will excel in performance tuning, possess advanced PL/SQL development skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of Golden Gate technology.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Oracle databases.
Conduct performance tuning activities to optimize database performance.
Develop and maintain PL/SQL codebase for efficient data processing and manipulation.
Implement and manage Golden Gate technology for real-time data replication and synchronization.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards in database management and security.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, preferably in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
Proficiency in performance tuning techniques and methodologies.
Strong skills in PL/SQL development and optimization.
Experience with Golden Gate technology for real-time data replication.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
