Job description
A lovely family living in Manhattan, NY, is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two children aged, 1.5-years-old and 3-years-old. The family is flexible for the position to be either live-in or live-out, but the nanny should be available for overnights as needed. The working schedule would be 7am-7pm, 5 days, (but a 4-day week would be considered), which could possibly include weekends depending on the parent’s schedules. They must be a team player as the family also have another nanny, so they would be working closely with each other 3-4 days per week.
Duties for this role will include everything related to the children and their care, scheduling playdates, and outings, taking the children to educational classes, and reading to them. The family enjoy eating healthy foods, so would like the nanny to source ingredients to prepare nutritious, home cooked meals for the children. They also have a chef who attends their home twice a week, with the opportunity for the nanny to work with them and help prepare the food.
The family have a second home in The Hamptons, so would therefore require the nanny to travel with them when away for long weekends, or extended periods of time.
They are looking for a fluent English speaker and are wanting the nanny to join their family with the view of staying with them long term. This is a pet friendly household, and the nanny should be comfortable around cats. There is a flexibility on a start date but should be before the end of January.
