Job description
The Application Systems Analyst III provides advancedlevel support for software upgrades, implementations and maintenance as needed.They will demonstrate an aptitude to represent the team as a Subject Matter Expert(SME) on all projects and initiatives. This position provides support for the Epic Radiant application.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with key clinical and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows
Analysis of workflows, system details, and technical issues associated with the Epic Radiant Application
Scopes multiple major and minor enhancements in accordance with ISS standards and best practices
Analyzing new functionality and recommending how it should be used to prioritize and implement requested changes to the system
Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users. Provides support for daily and ad-hoc requests.
Drives changes and makes recommendations to leadership regarding ISS processes, change management, and operational workflows
Architecting and delivering solution innovations to improve services or to lower costs, operating under deadlines and challenging workloads.
Solving highly complex problems and developing solutions to tasks or projects that may be unique, using judgment and initiative
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues within the Epic Radiant application
Delegate build and workflow design tasks to Epic Radiant team members
Perform system build and maintenance in the Epic Radiant application
Involved in multi-team and integrated solution development
Manages vendor relationships and escalates vendor issues
Education and Training:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Informatics or related Healthcare field, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Preferred ITIL Foundation certification or obtained after being hired
• Epic Radiant certification required
• Possession of any of the following Epic Badges preferred, Decision Trees, Best Practice Advisories, Results Routing, Imaging Screening Programs, Data Courier
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of Epic Radiant build experience
• Experience with EMR build and configuration
• Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources, analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop efficient workflows
• Experience with organization strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
Project Management Skills:
• Ability to effectively manage small to medium-scale projects utilizing introductory project management methodologies
