Aioi USA specializes in Research and Development of new technologies for both the automotive and insurance industries. One key focus of development is, MOTER, Mobility on The Edge in Real-time, a next generation connected car data analytics platform, which bridges the gap between the automotive and insurance ecosystems.
MOTER Technologies is working to unlock the world of connected car data to power new products and services for the automotive, mobility and insurance industries. Our edge computing-based advanced data science and software platform creates new insights from vehicle data to power the next generation of risk analytics and insurance solutions. The technology and business platform allow automakers to finally realize their connected car data monetization goals and improve their ROI in this growing space.
Job Overview:
This role reports to Director of Product Management and is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategy, design, and implementation of assigned insurance products. This includes market research, pricing analysis, and collaboration with underwriters and actuaries to ensure competitive and profitable offerings. Responsibilities also include leading cross-functional teams, monitoring industry trends, and working on product enhancements to meet customer needs. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a product line expert maintaining a thorough knowledge of product features and benefits.
- Help create insurance product strategy and support all state expansion efforts.
- Analyze and monitor insurance product performance to make data-based decisions regarding underwriting, coverage, and pricing.
- Foster competitive intelligence through monitoring of competitor activities as well as industry product trends.
- Monitor compliance issues at the state level.
- Build relationships with insurance departments and legislators to facilitate approvals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Math/Actuarial Science or another related field.
- 3+ years of P&C; 2+ years of product experience. Personal lines and auto experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a deep intellectual curiosity.
- A knack for identifying trends, communicating results, and taking action.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Roll-up-the sleeves work ethic and "do-what-it takes" attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as business, statistics, mathematics, or economics strongly preferred
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, generalized linear models, mathematical optimization, and/or data aggregation
- Experience with R, Python and/or SQL
- Ability to solve problems, think critically, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to learn new technology

Compensation:
- For California based hires:
Estimated annual salary range from $130,000 to $175,000
