Job description

The Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute has an opportunity for an experienced Research Coordinator to support the research of Dr. Gavin Bart begin conducted at Hennepin Healthcare's HCMC.

This work will be conducted in a hybrid capacity so split between telework and on campus in downtown Minneapolis, MN.

POSITION SUMMARY:

CURB-2 is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial testing the efficacy of the combination of two medications to decrease cocaine use among adults with moderate or severe cocaine use. The primary outcome, cocaine use as assessed via twice weekly urine drug screens (UDS), will be assessed as well as secondary outcomes determining the safety of the medication combination, treatment effectiveness and self-report of cocaine use.

The Research Coordinator will provide comprehensive study coordination, facilitate project development, and contribute to successful project execution.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Education/Experience:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be a baccalaureate degree and 2-3 years of experience preferably in a related area and/or in research.

Skill, Knowledge & Ability (SKA):

Requires interaction with a diverse population. Demonstrate working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and word processing applications, and effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently within guidelines, be organized, and establish priorities. Displays high standards of attendance and punctuality, maintains confidentiality, ability to adapt and be flexible, and manages time effectively.

Requires knowledge of research methodology for working with human subjects and of general research principles. Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with research subjects, and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
