Job description

Job Title: Hardware Engineer II / Lab Engineer

Location: Garland, TX

Duration: 3 months

Day-to-Day Duties/Work Hours:

• Work with Metro carts containing developer devices, requiring configuration.
• Transfer devices and conduct health checks.
• Ideal candidate background/experience includes previous engineering technician roles.

Top Required Skills:

• Understanding of data center/infra.
• Technical proficiency.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Ability to run simple scripts.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and triaging experience (organically, not scripted).
• Mac OS proficiency.
• 2 years of relevant experience.

Soft Skills:

• Proactive and self-driven.
• Ability to work in ambiguity.
• Think outside the box.

Job Description/Contractor Requirements:

• Collaborate effectively with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Build and move racks.
• Manage hardware equipment in racks and perform software updates.
• Ensure equipment is running optimally for engineers during testing.
