Job description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a minimum of 6 years of comprehensive financial analysis expertise, including 1-2+ years of specialized experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system, demonstrating a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and budgetary management within government programs.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Government Program Expertise:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of DoD/Federal Government financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expertise in navigating and complying with specific government program requirements.
- PPBE System Management:
- Lead the preparation and submission of budgetary documents within the PPBE framework.
- Monitor and analyze budget execution, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with PPBE guidelines throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Budgetary Oversight:
- Work closely with program managers and stakeholders to develop, monitor, and manage project budgets.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and financial feasibility studies for proposed initiatives.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present financial reports, briefings, and updates to senior management and government stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
