The College of Business is seeking a salaried Academic Wage: Site Coordinator –Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program Director. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term, seasonal (September-June) position. Reappointments are at the discretion of the VITA Principal Investigator.

This Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ( VITA ) Program Director will be a member of the Oregon State University College of Business. This position will be located in Corvallis, Oregon. The VITA Program Director will report directly to the VITA Program grant Principal Investigator.

VITA is a collaborative venture between the College of Business, Oregon State University Extension, and the Internal Revenue Service, designed to complete federal and state tax returns for low to moderate income individuals and families in Oregon. The VITA program engages with outreach to expand services of Black, Indigenous, Pacific Islander and Hispanic communities in all areas of Oregon. VITA is funded by a grant from the Oregon Department of Human Services.

The purpose of this VITA Program Director position is to provide a range of support and leadership to enable VITA program growth and sustainment. The position will involve extensive coordination of personnel and operations across Oregon, including VITA site identification and development; Process design and implementation; Volunteer recruitment and training; Site Coordinator recruitment and training; Coordinating the OSU campus VITA site; Coordinating the Facilitated Self Assistance VITA site, Coordinating with the IRS , and serving as the technical expert for the VITA Program. The VITA Program Director is responsible for conducting volunteer development, conducting site coordinator development, improving service quality, increasing return preparation volume and leveraging their multi-lingual or multi-cultural experiences to meet the needs of diverse communities.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
