Senior Data Scientist; Domain – Marketing
About the role:
Target Data Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity to solve state of the art problems in retail. The opportunity will allow you to analyse large and varied data sets, build models on foundational data assets, guest and media behaviour and write algorithms to improve guest (customer) and advertiser experience. In this role, you will have access to the best tech stack in retail along with working with a set of passionate co-workers committed to creating next gen Marketing capabilities. You can expect to be involved in:
Framing business problems in precise mathematical terms with testable hypotheses
Formulating statistical, machine learning or mathematical solutions to test and optimize automated solutions to business problems
Deploying algorithms and solutions in open-source platform
Working with a talented team of marketeers and collaborating with scientists
Example problem statements:
Test and build enhanced site taxonomy to improve search relevance
Create and deploy algorithms that can systematically identify and remediate product metadata
Develop image and text based metadata tagging ecosystem
Drive development of item intelligence suite that enables item facet/ feature relevancy for the guest/ customer
Expected skills :
Ability to frame up solutions, advocate for methods to use
Ability to write modular code and data pipelines which can be automated and scaled
Great communication skills and experience in working with clients
Good programming skills in Python/ Scala
Knowledge in statistics, ML and applied mathematics, Search and Computer Vision
Ability to work with a team(s) to drive the work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Educational background :
Computer Science graduates from reputed engineering institutes with 3+ years of experience
MTech or MS (Statistics, Economics) with relevant data experience of 2+ years
PhD with relevant experience of 1+ years
Preferred domain experience : in Search based algorithms and problems/ experience in working with and deploying ML based computer vision algorithms
