Position: Accounting Administrator (Full-time)
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary The Accounting Administrator is responsible for supporting the Finance Department of SPLC in all areas including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Responsibilities: 1. Accounting - Processes accounts payable entries for non-account transactions on timely basis
- Maintains and assists accounts payable modules in accounting database
- Processes invoices/credits and payments within department guideline
- Resolve Purchasing and Vendor inquires as required
- Provides detailed financial analysis and ad hoc assignments as required by Director of Finance or Accounting Supervisor
2. Cash Management: - Collects client payments as required, ensures the security of payment
- Process weekly/monthly cheque run & validate the accuracy
- Maintains donation database and issues tax receipts
- Prepares Petty cash and other billings Reconciliation
- Provides detailed financial analysis and ad-hoc reports as required
Education : - Completion of Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting
Experience & Skills : - Two to three years full cycle of accounting experience or similar role
- Good understanding of accounting principles and guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Experience using accounting systems such as ACCPAC, Great Plains, or QuickBooks software
- Ability to work independently on tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to occasionally work additional hours when required; to meet strict deadlines
- Strong organization skills, and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to speak a second language would be an asset
