Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Material Handler. You will maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
The site makes coatings (Clearcloat, electrocoat and resins) for automobile coatings. The job is at their warehouse, operating forklift, assisitng shipping and receiving and staging.
Job Description
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills Required
- 1 year of forklift experience in warehouse setting.
- Organization, Scheduling, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management, Inventory Control, Lifting, Data Entry Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hazardous Materials handling Certification CFR49
- Material handling, forklift and yard tractor operation, and experience with handling chemicals preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to have self-directed work ethic.
Educational/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass criminal background check.
- 12hr shift on days – two groups A Group and B Group. Group A works Mon and Tuesday, Group B works Wed and Thursday, Then group A works the weekends. Then it rotates every week. So working every other weekend. Hours for the day shifts is 6AM-6PM
- PPE: All provided including steel toed shoes.
Pay Rate
- $20.00 per hour
