We want to continue to build on that spirit by adding an experienced and hardworking Facilities Technician III to our team. Under the direction and where appropriate supervision of the Winery Facilities Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining and undertaking minor repairs to the operational infrastructure of the wineries and associated buildings and fixtures. This includes but is not limited to tasks associated with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting. This position also supports the Winery Facilities Manager in the oversight and monitoring of key equipment as well as assisting with capital improvement projects.

What we will ask you to do:
I. Maintenance
•  Assist in supporting the correct functioning and maintenance of mechanical/electrical equipment and systems.
•  Ensure that permits and inspections are current for items such as pressure vessels, water distribution systems, wastewater ponds and the stormwater system.
•  Liaise with service providers to ensure that preventative maintenance requirements are performed as required.
•  Use Manager Plus facilities software for work order generation and management.
•  Assist in preparing the site for any utility outages or recovery.
•  Ensures preventative maintenance activities are completed at vineyard rental properties.
•  Clean and maintain shop areas, work sites and storage areas.

II. Repairs
•  Respond in a timely manner to identify work required to close out work orders and requests.
•  Make safe and undertake minor repairs as needed in the event of components of common building system failure or departmental requests.
•  Liaise with service providers to ensure that repairs are performed as required.
•  Assist in undertaking clean-up of spills etc, when beyond normal janitorial scope.
•  Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
•  Replace defective globes in light fixtures.
•  Patch and paint building fixtures or outdoor furniture as needed.
•  Assists the Facilities Manager in repairing buildings systems.
•  Undertake landscaping irrigation and lighting repairs.
•  Undertakes minor repairs on vineyard rental properties.

III. Stakeholder Support
•  Assists in managing capital improvement projects through organizing materials and liaising with contract resources.
•  Performs minor inspections and record keeping.
•  Order parts for maintenance and repair activities.
•  Works closely with different departments to reduce the impact of facilities activities on operations.

What you should bring to the table:

•  A trade background such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical is desired.
•  Experience in managing building systems (water, power, wastewater, comms etc)
•  Experience in overseeing contract resources in conducting maintenance and repair.
•  Project management skills desired.
•  Knowledge of wine production processes and equipment desired.
•  Knowledge of basic hand and power tools and their safe operation.
•  Ability to read and understand schematics.
•  An understanding of facilities systems and components.
•  Knowledge of basic construction techniques.
•  Excellent communication skills.
•  Ability to interact with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
•  Fault finding and problem-solving skills.
•  Basic computer literacy to enable work order generation and close out as well as some MS Office use)
•  Valid California Driver’s License.
