PetSmart LLC is the largest specialty pet retailer of services and solutions for the lifetime needs of pets. Hybrid Position:

This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.

Fully Remote Position:

This position is considered to be Fully Remote and work is done from another location outside of Phoenix Home Office (within the United States). Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote do not have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office several times a year [or more], based on business needs and in partnership with leadership. Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote will acknowledge the “Remote Work Agreement” upon hire.  

Onsite Position:

This position is considered to be Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at a PetSmart location (Phoenix Home Office, PetSmart stores, Merchandise Development Center, Distribution Centers or another PetSmart site).

Field Position:

This position is considered Field based and is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Field associates will spend their time both traveling to and spending time in various PetSmart locations and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office periodically throughout the year. Field associates typically work out of their home office when not traveling as outlined above.

About the Job

This role will be responsible for supporting all new franchisees through the initial training and setup process while providing ongoing operational and technical support post-opening. This role will also work closely with the franchisee on-site prior to opening to support the on-site training and setup of the hospital. This role will also be a content expert for our dedicated partners to include the PIMs system and ensure the franchisees have the proper knowledge and ongoing support. They will also support the closure process of terminated clinics, inventorying equipment while on site. This role will also provide feedback to help improve the effectiveness of our franchise opening process and operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills and be able to work independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the franchisee through the required hospital setup processes
• Will track and communicate all aspects of the setup process with the franchisee
• Maintain detailed communication and process flow within the franchise management tool
• Provides detailed end-user hands-on technical and medical training for medical equipment and software applications to be used in the hospital
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and franchisee needs throughout the setup process
• Maintains relationships with internal vendors and suppliers
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new franchise locations are set up efficiently and effectively
• Provide training and support to franchisees on the setup process and post-open
• Supports specific training to clinic staff for American Animal Hospital Association  
• Builds strong relationships with Home-Office partners, Franchisees, and vendors
• Supports the closure process for terminated locations
• Supports to alleviate technical issues in identified clinics requiring re-training.
  • Identify training deficiencies and work to remedy those areas through additional hands-on training, discussion, or reference materials

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position will have 0 direct reports.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY

• This position will have no budget responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• 5+ years of veterinary setup and support
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and detailed oriented
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with franchisees, colleagues, and stakeholders
• Highly motivated, inquisitive, and self-starter who can multi-task and effectively manage priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel of 80%+ : Extensive travel with effective call routing, frequent clinic visits, and overnight travel will be required based on territory size.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge and proficiency with other business systems as required by specific roles

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Project Management is highly preferred.
