Job description
The Project Accountant is responsible for managing the financials of all ongoing projects. This includes budget preparation, accounts payable and receivable, cost coding, and Microsoft Office and Spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills. They should also be experienced with Timberline software (SAGE 300).
Position Overview:
- Manage the financials of ongoing projects
- Ensure accuracy of budget preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and cost coding
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Spreadsheets to support calculations
- Maintain financial records and provide reports to stakeholders
- Prioritize tasks and ensure deadlines are met
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage accurate budgets and timelines for projects
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable and receivable
- Provide cost coding for all transactions
- Develop and maintain financial reports for stakeholders
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Spreadsheets to support calculations
- Utilize Timberline software (SAGE 300)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in budget preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and cost coding
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Spreadsheets
- Prior experience with Timberline software (SAGE 300)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and self-motivation
