Job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refractory Engineer to join our team. The Refractory Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our metal production processes by overseeing the design, selection, installation, and maintenance of refractory materials used in our furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing the requirements of different production processes and selecting appropriate refractory materials based on factors such as temperature, chemical composition and mechanical stress.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to design refractory linings for furnaces, ladles, tundishes, and other equipment.
- Monitoring the performance of refractory linings through regular inspections, thermographic analysis, and other diagnostic techniques.
- Ensuring that all refractory materials meet industry standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in refractory engineering within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with refractory installation techniques and procedures.
