Job Responsibilities


With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at: Greater Greenville Mental Health Center

- Provides clinical assessments, medication management, medication administration and individual treatment. Prescribes psychotropic medications according to written protocols. Monitors medication compliance, response, side effects, and outcomes of treatment.
- Provides leadership for treatment team and provides guidance and consultation function for nursing staff.
- Participates in emergency triage coverage during daytime for Child and Adolescent Unit and available by phone at night regarding back-up support for on-call staff.
- Provides education concerning medication and treatment modalities for patients and family.
- Provides phone consultation to patients with medication/treatment issues and questions.
- Orders lab work and screens incoming lab work per protocol. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements


A master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Licensure as a registered nurse with official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the SC Board of Nursing, practicing in the extended role with prescriptive authority in the state of S.C. Related nursing experience.
