The Staff Accountant will be an integral piece to our continued growth and expansion efforts into new markets, partnerships and product offerings. Responsibilities
- General Accounting
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts
- receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, ensuring
- compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Month-End Close
- Design and lead the month-end close process, preparing financial statements
- and actionable reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in alignment with the month-end close
- schedule.
- Provide assistance with payroll, invoicing, commission, and subcontractor
- payments.
- Monitor credit card statements.
- Track key expenses including marketing expenses and return on investments.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the VP of Finance to support financial planning and analysis,
- cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for
- financial reporting.
- Work closely with project managers to monitor product returns and reconcile
- supply billing.
- Prepare audit schedules, support audit processes, and ensure compliance with
- regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Ensure insurance policies and supporting documentation is up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general
- accounting functions and financial reporting
- General ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- experience
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online, SAGE Intacct, or other accounting software;
- experience in system implementation is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
