Job description

Motivated individual with a proven track record with 10+ years of innovative work designing opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.

Must be US permanent resident or US Citizen.

System architect with current experience in mechanical design and product development. Expert in the field of Mechanical Engineering with knowledge sufficient to confidently address issues and communicate clearly. Able to innovate by applying new or existing technologies in new ways to solve challenging design problems.

Experience designing systems incorporating some or all of the following:

• High precision motorized mechanisms
• Lens and mirror mounts – large and small
• Flexures and kinematic mounts
• Metal castings, plastic moldings, additive manufacturing
• Design for Manufacture
• Production Systems and Automated Material Handling
• Experience with FEA; primarily static, modal, and thermal
• Use of SolidWorks or similar CAD software
