Dewberry has an opportunity for a Designer/CADD Technician to join our New York City, NY office and participate on Infrastructure and Facilities Design Teams working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural disciplines, . Work activities may include CAD/Revit drafting for conceptual, preliminary, and final design drawings And the preparation of design packages for submission to client.

Duties will include CAD and REVIT drawing model setup, building information modeling (BIM) using Bentley and Revit software, CAD drafting using AutoCAD or Microstation and REVIT software, drawing production and discipline coordination between the various trades. Duties may also include the review of design packages drawn by others, working with architects, public agency representatives and other clients, and working with teammates from within the Dewberry organization. This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility as the BIM/CAD Manager for design and production of construction documents for commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and structural systems as it relates to BIM will be considered highly favorably.

• Work as a member of a project design team or several project design teams.
• Set up, organize, enforce, and maintain project CADD standards and filing systems
• Establish drawing and design standards based on client CADD standards and/or Dewberry standards
• As experience is gained in each of the various MEPS disciplines the ability to prepare layouts and details based on only preliminary sketches and general instructions
• Coordinate with other team members including engineers, managers, and administrative staff
• Ability to manage REVIT models for internal use when received from outside sources

• Minimum 6 years of experience with emphasis in infrastructure and facilities projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/ Revit or MicroStation. Proficiency in both AutoCAD/Revit and MicroStation is a plus.
• Willingness to assist with a wide range of tasks and work with multiple project managers.
• Collaborative spirit and strong desire to learn and help others
• High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
