Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Coral Gables, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This integral position is responsible for assisting the Director of Golf and Head Professional with supervision of the entire golf operations, personnel, merchandising, daily play procedures, and overall management of golf tournaments while working cooperatively with other departments. This role must have a proven understanding of program development, creation, execution and have a keen ability to balance operations and member interaction.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding and ability to enforce the rules of golf and the Club’s rules on golf.
• Create an atmosphere of overall hospitality, engagement, and enthusiasm through interactions with members, guests, and staff.
• Develop, maintain, and consistently enforce high standards of conduct, performance, and operating procedures.
• Maintain and/or develop industry connections to enhance technology, latest trends, and build upon a network to develop future staffing.
• Play golf with a diverse group of members of all skill levels.
• Promote and fit into the longstanding employment culture of the Biltmore Golf Course.

6. Assist in all golf-related purchasing, specifically hard goods (golf balls, gloves, golf clubs, etc.).
7. Assist with physical inventories and the display of merchandise. Assist in the development of necessary systems to safeguard inventories.
8. Assist in receiving merchandise and submitting invoices to accounting for payment.
9. Oversee the Online tee sheet and POS system, starting, and monitoring of play.
10. Oversee the Outside Services Operation.
11. Ensure proper of outside team and ensure they have all the necessary tools and resources to be successful in their duties.
12. Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional with recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff including Assistant Professionals, and outside service staff.
13. Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility.
14. Maintain and manage the rental club program and inventory
15. Maintain a close working relationship with the Superintendent and other department heads.
16. Assist in coordinating written correspondence, reporting, member eblast newsletters, promotional materials, and communications for golf operations.
17. Be a positive representative of management to all other staff members throughout the Biltmore property.

Requirements:
Maintain PGA of America or LPGA membership in good standing in an active classification.
Preferred Level 1 PGA or higher and actively working towards Membership.
Lead Assistant Golf Professional experience preferred of a minimum of 2 years of verifiable, progressive leadership and golf management experience at a well-recognized Club.
Merchandising, Visual Displays, Inventory and Management Skills.
MUST be proficient in Golf Genius Tournament Software.
High level of knowledge of the rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Strong organizational, time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and in other applications, member eblast emails, text messaging, tournament, and database software.
Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep abreast of marketing and business trends as approved by the Director of Golf.
Strong leadership skills and proven experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong teaching skills, instructional and club fitting knowledge utilizing modern technology.

Compensation:
$50,000.00 – $54,000.00 per year.
