Position Summary
Our Vancouver, Washington factory is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician to maintain and perform repairs on production equipment. In this position, you will perform preventative maintenance on equipment, respond to calls to support production, and troubleshoot issues. This position will be working in a unionized environment.
Shift: This shift will be working on either Swing or Grave shift. ( Shift different will be added based on shift.)
Starting Rate of Pay: $36.41 per hour plus shift differential, call time, meal allowance, and paid lunches.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance actions and activities as assigned, including driving and creating documentation for maintenance tasks specific to equipment (working instructions).
- Respond to maintenance calls throughout the factory and repair equipment accordingly.
- Perform troubleshooting independently on equipment and determine failure reasons and anomalies thru structured problem solving methodology.
- Contribute with the Preventative Maintenance (PM) methodology within the Plant area.
- Assist other maintenance personnel in rebuilding and/or redesigning production equipment.
- Works on continuous improvement activities and teams.
- Set up and operate a lathe, drill press, grinder, mill, and other fabrication tools and equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experiences
- 2+ years experience in the maintenance field, ideally in an industrial/production setting: food packaging or converting industry a plus.
- Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components, including controls/PLCs.
- Solid knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance tools and equipment such as a lathe, mill, grinders, drill press, etc.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and using trouble shooting methodologies.
- Intermediate computer skills and basic math skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures and World Class Manufacturing processes.
- Must be available to work any shift.
Key Outputs and Measurements
- Participate in regular Preventive Maintenance.
- Minimalize losses (short stops/ breakdowns) on machine/ equipment, keep Down Time Targets
- Guide colleagues with AM/ PM and removing red tags.
- Report all activities in SAP, and Plant Maintenance Module and solve reported problem as per plan.
- Maintain the maintenance spare parts store.
- Achieve preventive maintenance activities.
- Adhere to TBM (Time Based Maintenance) compliance ratio and targets and 5S according to standard in all maintenance areas
