Wilmington Friends School, a Preschool to 12 college preparatory Quaker day school located in Wilmington, Delaware, enrolling approximately 730 students is seeking an experienced, motivated professional to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Head of School, and support for the Board of Trustees. The successful candidate for the Administrative Assistant to the Head of School will bring initiative, integrity, professionalism, and good humor to multifaceted and evolving responsibilities and will hold themselves to the NAIS Guidelines of Professional Practice for Assistants to the Head of School.

The Administrative Assistant to the Head of School supports the Head of School in the day-to-day management of school programs and operations. They will also support the work of the Board of Trustees and its standing and ad hoc committees. 

The Administrative Assistant will exercise primary oversight or collaborative responsibilities for such things as:

The Administrative Assistant coordinates certain institutional projects and programs at Friends. They will support and work with the Head of School, the Board of Trustees, and the Administrative Team to prepare, carry out, and report on short and long-term projects. Experience working in independent schools or in an academic environment is desirable.
