Job description

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Data Analysis & Automation Team Technical Writer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Data Analysis & Automation Team Technical Writer, you will support End user Services Architecture, Integration and Unified Communications teams including Program Managers, Technical Leads, Mission Leads, and Systems Engineers. You will be responsible for the preparation, writing, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: - Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of technical writing experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. A High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of technical writing experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is also acceptable.
- Under general direction, write technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity .
- Coordinate layout and design of documents.
- Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge efforts.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired: - Understand basic concepts (to include basic grammar concepts), responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents .
- Ability to Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc.
- Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources .
- Research highly technical subject matter and organize information from multiples sources. Express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.
- Apply technical manual standards to work products.
