Job description
UNIFY is seeking to add a Funding Coordinator to our team onsite at our Las Vegas Ops Center!
We are seeking a self-starter, with strong customer service skills, and the ability to work within a high-paced environment. This role will provide funding support to our members’ consumer loans.
This position is not eligible for remote, or hybrid work due to the secure nature of the documents handled in this role.
Daily, you will:
- Prepare and fund consumer loan packets utilizing the appropriate financial instruments (Wires, Cashier’s Checks, etc.)
- Interact with members, dealerships, and government agencies (DMV, etc.)
- Receive, sort and appropriately file/scan physical mail and documents.
- Find value in educating members about loan products and helping members.
- Conduct financial instrument audits and reconcile usage with existing allotment.

Summary:
The funding coordinator is responsible for the proper distribution of physical documentation and direct funding of consumer loans. This includes producing cashiers’ checks and the subsequent auditing of check stacks, filing and file maintenance as well as member communication for missing or required documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Daily compilation of funded loan packages, including counter signing Certified checks.
- Performs Cashier checks’ daily and monthly auditing and reconciliation.
- Sort and distribute physical mail to ensure that documents are received and reviewed in a timely manner.
- Daily Outbound and Inbound loan related member service calls.
- Daily review and preparation of outbound FedEx including but not limited to payoff to lenders and coordination of DMV original forms sent to members.
- On demand check imaging of certified cashier checks.
- Performs all functions related to Consumer Lending, including but not limited to, daily receipt and review of DMV documents and packet preparation.
- Daily organized intake and controlled retention of member sensitive documentation including but not limited to loan documents, power of attorney’s and titles.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of features and benefits of relevant products and services and keeps informed of changes in Credit Union policies and procedures to ensure the best service possible.
- Maintains productivity levels as established by department standards.
- Promptly sends completed documents for imaging.
- Work closely with necessary departments on loan packet requirements and resolutions.
- Understands Loan Review documentation practices and demonstrates the ability to review such documents.
- Assists and works independently on various projects as assigned by Management.
- Maintains confidentiality of information by utilizing controls and processes to protect sensitive information and material.
- Attends mandatory annual training requirements.
- Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union Service Standards, policies, procedures and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of financial institution experience.
- Experience with Consumer loan processing and funding highly preferred.
- Experience handling and reconciling monetary instruments highly preferred.
- Customer service experience highly preferred.
- Requires effective communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
