Job description

Responsibilities:

You will play a crucial role in providing both domestic and international training in line with our established methodologies and strategies for technical development. Under the guidance of the Training Manager and Field Service Management, your primary responsibilities will include:

Delivering competency-based technical training and repair sessions for Field Service and In-house repair personnel across the Americas, focusing on Life Science and Industrial products.
Mastering and instructing the installation and repair of advanced microscopes, including laser-based systems, following completion of training.
Implementing technical training plans and conducting needs assessments to meet business objectives.
Supporting the development of Field Service Engineers through on-site training, working alongside senior training members to ensure comprehensive skill development, troubleshooting abilities, and professionalism.
Job Duties:

Supporting Technical training initiatives across domestic, Latin American, and Canadian regions.
Delivering training programs aligned with our training and licensing methodology to meet customer expectations and field service management objectives.
Coordinating and leading classroom training programs in Bethlehem for 2-3 weeks per month, as required.
Providing quality training supported by written, practical, and objective evaluations to gauge student autonomy levels.
Continuously improving training materials and methodologies to reduce on-the-job requirements.
Utilizing creative video training materials and conducting remote training sessions when feasible.
Offering hardware and software troubleshooting support via phone, email, or virtual platforms to field staff.
Conducting field audits as directed to ensure technical skills are applied, retained, and developed.
Maintaining current technical documentation for all supported coursework and resources.
Participating in required training courses provided by suppliers and adhering to corporate asset protection policies.
Demonstrating flexibility with work hours and traveling up to 25% as needed.
Interacting with field personnel, management, and customers professionally and effectively.
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in sciences/engineering. Prior microscopy field service or technical experience may be considered equivalent.
Experience:

Required qualifications:

Proficiency in Windows-based OS, system driver installation, and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentations to various stakeholders.

Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred qualifications:

Hands-on experience with advanced precision instruments in a classroom or lab setting.

Background in microscopy and/or advanced imaging preferred but not required.

Customer-facing field service experience supporting advanced electro-opto-mechanical PC-based systems desirable but not required.

Experience in teaching complex technical material and understanding basic microscope imaging principles is a plus.
