Hourly Wage: $18.99-$21.27

(Candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Description:

The Technical Services Intern provides technical support for Royal Credit Union under the direction of the Information Technology Manager. This intern will install PC's and associated software, hardware and peripherals. In addition, they will perform routine troubleshooting, support, and maintenance tasks.


Work Schedule:

Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible position that will start May 2024, and will go through May 2025.

Training:

Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.

Requirements:
• Enrolled in a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Network Specialist, Computer Science or related field.
• Working knowledge of LANs and WAN Technologies
• Working knowledge of Windows-Based operating systems and Networks
• Working knowledge of PCs, Laptops, Printers, Tablets, Smartphones and related peripherals
• Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work that is complex in nature
• Work efficiently in a high-volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities
• Strong verbal communication skills in person and over the telephone
• Able to pay meticulous attention to detail
• Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision in a team environment with high levels of interruption.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures in a clear and concise manner
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Products
• Communicate and live Royal Credit Union's core purpose, values, and organizational culture daily

Preferred Experience:
• Experience working in a Desktop/Help Desk Support role supporting a windows environment is helpful
