Reporting to the Professional Development and Training Manager, the Training and Development Coordinator will assist with the professional development and training initiatives for the College. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provides research and assistance with the creation and implementation of innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, wellness, and management and leadership development.
• Coordinates learning and development program activities including forming committees, scheduling, event logistics and vendor relations.
• Identifies, develops and facilitate training in the use of online resources and technologies to support organizational development, utilizing adult learning theory to provide customized learning opportunities, and assist with program development and delivery facilitated both on-line and in person.
• Assesses needs, analyzes gaps, researches best practices, and partners with Human Resources colleagues and College constituents to identify, develop and implement successful and innovative learning and development programs.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluating of the effectiveness of programs by maintaining records, tracking outcomes, and recommend adjustments to curriculum and programming as needed.
• Coordinates operation and use of the Learning Management System (LMS) and provides systems support to all users and resolves systems issues and works with vendors as needed
• Develops integrated talent/performance/learning reports, dashboards and portals in support of the learning organization, and ensures LMS data is leveraged within the organization.
• Serves as the data custodian of the LMS, uses technical savvy to provide support to internal and external clients ensuring user experiences are positive and creates resources providing information and services.
• Maintains technical expertise and knowledge of best practices in online educational trends, changes and developments, and service strategies. Recommends new approaches, modifications or changes that will improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
• Ensures programs are accessible and coordinates with ADA Coordinator as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Professional Development and Training Manager or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years of training and development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft (CUNYFirst), Microsoft Office suite and current federal, state and local employment laws and regulation.
• Past success in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment using proven time management skills, prioritization skills and working with a strong sense of urgency.
• Web-based learning technology design and development including eLearning authoring tools and standards such as Adobe Suite (Captivate, Dreamweaver, Flash, Premier), Articulate Storyline/Studio; Proficient in authoring software: Adobe Suite, MS Excel, Camtasia, Captivate, and other emerging technology;
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills.
• Effective writing, editing, proofreading, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function.

• Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and recruiting
• Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources
• Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness
• Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries
• Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages
• Performs related duties as assigned.
