About the Role:
Our dynamic media team is at the forefront of revolutionizing real-time and streaming media platforms globally. We're seeking enthusiastic Software Engineers who are passionate about crafting exceptional experiences. Join us in extending and refining the audio and video infrastructure pivotal to enabling real-time interactions within the Cantina app.
Responsibilities:
Enhance and expand the Cantina media platform.
Introduce new features for users to engage with friends and AI bots via voice and video.
Maintain and enhance WebRTC-based frameworks for media services across iOS, Android, and web clients.
Analyze system performance and user behavior metrics.
Collaborate closely with team members to deliver regular feature updates.
Define APIs for integration with the media stack for application development teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in C or C++.
Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and concurrent programming.
Familiarity with system programming concepts such as networking and distributed systems.
Object-oriented programming and design skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of AI and machine learning techniques, particularly in speech recognition and synthesis.
Experience with WebRTC, streaming protocols, or other media-related technologies.
Knowledge of audio or video processing algorithms.
Prior experience in iOS and Android development.
Familiarity with Node.js for building services.
Location:
While we offer remote and hybrid work options, preference is given to candidates willing to work in our Sunnyvale, CA or Brooklyn, NY offices.
Pay Equity:
Salary ranges from $110,000 to $145,000, with factors such as skills, experience, and location taken into consideration.
