ECS is seeking a Business Financial Manager to work in our Bethesda, MD office. Please Note: this position is contingent upon additional funding.
Job Description: In this role candidates will support the financial management of federal health research program portfolios, tracking and forecasting budgets, collaborating with multi-functional teams and government stakeholders. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational skills; financial management experience in support of federal environments; educational experience in basic business, finance, accounting and economics principles; and the ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing R&D environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Candidate must be able to keep track of tasking, deadlines, and action items related to a diverse portfolio of research programs and be able to effectively coordinate tasking for a large team of technical and financial staff.
Min. years of experience = 3 years.
Required Skills: - US Citizen.
- Active Public Trust or ability to obtain.
- Bachelors Degree.
- Experience in developing, organizing, forecasting, and maintaining financial budgets and tracking technical and financial milestones.
- Experience in creating and coordinating budgets.
- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to understand and follow federal agency financial policies and procedures and support the planning, execution, and reconciliation of Program Funds.
- Provide appropriation financial analysis, review financial and execution efforts, and the development of program documentation that delineates all resource related items and schedules.
- Provide document management, program planning, solicitation preparation, scientific review evaluation boards planning and support, conference planning, preparing presentations and reports, and general office coordination/management.
- Preparing and/or reviewing financial documents, tracking program commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and contractor monthly reports and monitoring contractor.
- Develop reports, briefings, program and contract documents.
- Manage program and performer documents via internal network drives and external SharePoint sites.
Desired Skills: - Experience in completing tasks and resolving issues in a federal health agency.
