Responsibilities

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas.  Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs.  We are enthusiastic about providing compassionate health care from our team here at Canyon Creek Behavioral Health.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the telephone, documenting incoming deliveries, provides clerical support as requested.  In addition, the receptionist routes prospective patient / inquirer to appropriate person for assessment.  Answers and forwards incoming calls.  Provides accurate and timely data entry, coping of documents, and daily census reports, and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned. 

Work Hours: Monday Through Friday 4:30PM-12:30AM / 4:30PM-12:30AM may be required to work occational weekends

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :  High school graduate or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service and handling phone calls, Prefer: Previous experience in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.

Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care® training. Certification and training must be obtained within the first thirty days of hire.
